This is an action for false imprisonment.
The plaintiff was, by defendant’s directions, arrested while engaged in giving a performance at a theater in the city of Grand Bapids on Sunday evening. There existed *420an ordinance of the city of Grand Eapids relative to shows, which prohibited a person or company giving theatrical exhibitions on the first day of the week.
