Plaintiff, Anya Juan Risco, brought suit against Defendant, John M. McHugh, Secretary of the Army (“Defendant” or the “Army”), under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C.A. §§ 2000e-2000e-17, alleging that Defendant, acting by and through his agents, discriminated against her on the basis of her race, color, disability and/or perceived disability, and in retaliation for her initiation of protected activity, by subjecting Plaintiff to a hostile work environment.1 (Compl. ¶ 46).
