January 20, 1942, a finding was made by the district court of Dakota county in a condemnation proceeding that a proposed taking of land for highway purposes appeared to be necessary and such as is provided by law. It ordered the appointment of commissioners to'ascertain and report the damages that would be sustained by the several owners on account of the taking, the nature of the estate to be acquired, and provided for the other routine matters incident to the appointment.
