*776This is an action brought by Georgia Jeannette Grimstead, an infant, by her father and next friend, A. L. Grimstead, against the city of South Norfolk and R. G. Lassiter & Company, to recover damages for a personal injury alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the above mentioned defendants. Upon the trial of the case in the court below the jury found in favor of the city of South Norfolk, but assessed damages against the co-defendant, R. G. Lassiter & Company, in the sum of $1,000.00, and judgment was entered on said verdict accordingly. R. G. Lassiter & Company now bring the case…
