This is an annexation case. The City of Russellville sought to annex 4,150 acres of contiguous lands. The area sought to be annexed encompasses three irregular tracts of land in the western part of the city, extending Russell-ville’s boundaries uniformly to Lake Dardanelle and the Arkansas River. The city already touched these bodies of water in several places. An election was held and the annexation was approved by a vote of 571 to 210. Several landowners contested the annexation.
