In this legal malpractice case, William C. Smith (plaintiff) appeals from the trial court’s dismissal of his suit in granting summary judgment in favor of defendants George S. Petkoff, E. Patrick Lancaster, Joseph W. Barnwell, and the law firm of Petkoff and Lancaster (defendants, or by name). The trial court held that the action was barred by the statute of limitations applicable to legal malpractice suits. T.C.A. § 28-3-104(a)(2) (Supp.1994).
