Petitioner was employed by Douglas Aircraft Company under a collective bargaining agreement between the company and the union. His services were terminated by Douglas on June 7, 1950, because of lack of work. The following day he registered with the Department of Employment for work and filed a claim for benefits under the California Unemployment Insurance Act. (3 Deering’s Gen. Laws, Act 8780d.)
