BECTON, Judge.

Defendant appeals from a judgment awarding plaintiff treble damages and attorneys’ fees based on defendant’s unfair and deceptive acts or practices in the attempted sale of a house. We affirm.

On 26 June 1979, plaintiff, James Collins Wilder, negotiated through Realty World, a realtor, to purchase a house from defendant, J. Ralph Squires. The parties did not have any direct communication.
