OPINION BY
POPOVICH, J.:
¶ 1 Appellant Edward F. Lazarski, Jr., appeals the entry of summary judgment in favor of Appellees Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Cardinal Justin Rigali, and Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua. We affirm.
¶ 2 The Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure governing summary judgment instruct, in relevant part, that the court shall enter judgment whenever there is no genuine issue of any material fact as to a necessary element of the cause of action.
