HUNTER, Justice.

The defendant, Dennis Michael Brandon, was convicted by a jury of bank robbery, Ind.Code § 35-13-5-1 (Burns 1975), and was sentenced to twenty years in prison. His direct appeal raises the following seven issues:

1. Whether the court erred in permitting the state to cross-examine the defendant concerning an unrelated arrest of his brother;
