Defendant in error, who was plaintiff in the trial court, commenced this suit on the 21st day of July, 1911, against plaintiff in error, as defendant, on a promissory note that had then been past due since December 11, 1905, which was almost-two years before the admission of the state into the Union, and which had been subjected to the running of the limitation prescribed by section 4483, Mansfield’s Digest of the Statutes of Arkansas. The trial resulted in a verdict for plaintiff, under instructions that notwithstanding plaintiff’s cause of action had accrued more than five years…
