The Emerson Morgan Coal Company, Inc., was, on April 24th, 1924, engaged in the business of selling and delivering coal in the City of Baltimore. Shortly before two o'clock in the afternoon of that day, one of its trucks, loaded with two and one-half tons of coal, backed up at a right angle to the curb in front of 324 on the west side of North Monroe Street in that city for the purpose of delivering the coal into the cellar of that house.
