OPINION AND ORDER

HAGGERTY, Chief Judge.

On July 19, 2002, plaintiffs moved to certify a collective action under § 216(b) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). See 29 U.S.C. § 216(b). On September 13, 2002, Magistrate Judge Ashmanskas filed his Findings and Recommendation that plaintiffs’ motion to certify a collective action should be denied. The matter is now before the court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Fed.R.Civ.P. 72(b). A decision to certify a class is considered a “dispositive motion” for purposes of Rule 72.
