PAGE, Justice.

Appellants Susan Dunn, Richard News-trom, and Twin City Home Juice Company 1 (collectively, Twin City) sued National Beverage Corp. (National Beverage) and DTM Distributing, Inc. (DTM), alleging, among other things, a violation of the Minnesota Franchise Act, Minn.Stat. ch. 80C (2006), and breach of contract. The jury found that National Beverage breached the franchise agreement between the parties and awarded $288,000 in damages for the breach.
