The plaintiffs brought an action in the Superior Court seeking injunctive relief and damages from the defendant based upon alleged violations of G. L. c. 140D, the Massachusetts Truth in Lending Act, and 15 U.S.C. §§ 1601 et seq. (1982), the Federal Truth in Lending Act, wrongful foreclosure of a real estate mortgage, and charges of usurious interest on a promissory note executed by the plaintiffs to the defendant.
