¶1 Presented as a challenge to the sufficiency of the State’s evidence, this case requires us to consider what elements constitute the crime of failure to register as a sex offender (failure to register) under former *766RCW 9A.44.130 (Laws of 2003, ch. 215, § l).1 Specifically, we must determine whether a registrant’s residential status must be proved at trial and whether the crime is an alternative means crime. We hold that failure to register as a sex offender is not an alternative means crime and that the elements of the crime do not include a registrant’s particular residential status.…
