Judgment, Supreme Court, Bronx County (Elbert Hinkson, J.), rendered August 2, 1995, convicting defendant, after a jury trial, of burglary in the second degree, and sentencing him, as a persistent violent felony offender, to a term of 8 years to life, unanimously affirmed.

The court properly exercised its discretion in its Sandoval ruling by permitting inquiry into defendant’s entire criminal *190record, while prohibiting elicitation of the nature and underlying facts of the convictions.
