*918 [1] Cody A. Stinson ("Stinson") was convicted following a jury trial of attempted murder, 1 a Level 1 felony, and battery with a deadly weapon, 2 as a Level 5 felony, and he was adjudicated to be an habitual offender. 3 On appeal, he raises the following restated issues:
