Bartlett appeals from the order entered after the trial court granted the State of California’s motion to dismiss his amended qui tam 1 complaint, filed on behalf of himself and the State of California (State) under the False Claims Act (CFCA) (Gov. Code, § 12650 et seq.), 2 alleging ClubCorp Porter Valley Country Club, Inc., and several related ClubCorp entities (collectively ClubCorp) had defrauded the State by failing to escheat the unclaimed initiation deposits of ClubCorp’s members and former members.
