LEDERBERG, Justice.

This ease came before the Supreme Court on the appeal of Carlton J. Bleau (defendant) from a judgment of conviction of two counts of first-degree sexual assault, one reduced charge of second-degree sexual assault, and one charge of malicious destruction of property. The defendant was sentenced to concurrent terms of forty-five years on each count of first-degree sexual assault, to a consecutive term of ten years on the second-degree sexual assault charge, and to one year — concurrent with the two forty-five-year sentences — on the charge of malicious destruction of…
