C. ALBERT PARENTE, Bankruptcy Judge.

This case presents two issues: (1) whether certain liens of secured creditors take priority over the debtor’s claimed exemption of the proceeds of a personal injury action; and (2) whether the trustee is entitled to compensation.

Debtor, Loretta Thorogood, filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code on August 20, 1980. The only property of the estate was $15,000 recovered by the debtor in settlement of a personal injury action commenced in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Suffolk, against Oasis Diner.…
