HILL, Circuit Judge.

Appellant W. F. Reno was indicted by a federal grand jury on six counts of mail fraud, violations of 18 U.S.C. § 1341, and one count of making a false statement in applying for and receiving a loan from a bank whose deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1014. He was tried before a jury in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and he was convicted on all counts.
