The plaintiff was appointed administrator of an estate after the decedent’s sons, William E. and James D. Thomas, were unable to agree on a proper disposition of assets. The principal assets of the estate were a house, apparently subject to a small mortgage, and its furnishings. The plaintiff arranged an amicable division of the furnishings between the brothers and sold the house for $30,000 to a buyer found by himself.
