This is an appeal from the refusal of the court below to grant a new trial after a verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of $3,000 plus $600 interest in an action of assumpsit on a policy of life insurance. On January 1,1936, the defendant delivered a life insurance policy to John E. Whigham, providing that in consideration of the payment of the monthly premium of $6.18 the company would pay$l,500 to the insured’s wife as beneficiary upon receipt of due proof of the death of the insured and further by “supplemental contract” attached to the policy, in consideration…
