Plaintiffs, via an eight count petition with twenty-two headings, instituted suit against the City of Kansas City, Missouri, alleging disparagement, tortious interference with prospective advantage, conspiracy to injure property or business, conspiracy to defraud, outrage, denial of due process, false arrest, and conversion. Upon defendant’s motion, the Circuit Court of Jackson County made an order dismissing plaintiffs’ petition because the doctrine of sovereign immunity precluded recovery.
