Plaintiff, Zoran Corluka, brought this action in the circuit court of Cook County against defendant, Bridgford Foods of Illinois, Inc. (hereinafter Bridgford), seeking to recover damages for a retaliatory discharge, breach of contract and promissory estoppel after plaintiff’s employment was terminated.
