This is a suit under the Truth in Lending Act [TILA] and the Sherman Act against certain savings and loan associations in the Greater Philadelphia area that made home mortgage loans to plaintiffs. The antitrust count, being maintained as a class action against twenty banks, 1 alleges that defendants violated Section 1 of the Sherman Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1, by agreeing between 1968 and 1975 to collect an “interest charge” at settlement on a loan.
