The plaintiff, Frank Doran, alleges that the defendant, the city of Seattle, negligently constructed a bulkhead in front of his premises, and on account of such negligence the bulkhead pressed against and injured his house. This suit was begun on the 2dth day of January, 1898. The plaintiff’s claim for damages was filed on the 13th day of September, 1897. On the trial, after the plaintiff had introduced his evidence, motion for non-suit was made by defendant and denied by the court. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff. The…
