William Dickman, appellant, brought suit in ejectment in the circuit court of Madison county against the Madison County Light and Power Company and the St. Louis, Springfield and Peoria Railroad, (hereinafter called the Traction Company,) charging by his declaration that a strip of land 75 feet wide, the center line of which runs across the north half of the southwest quarter of section 29, township 4, north, range 8, west of the third principal meridian, in said county, is claimed by him in fee, which is occupied and used by the Traction Company for its right of way, for railroad purposes,…
