This is an appeal from a decree of the circuit court of Madison county, awarding* the proceeds of a policy of g’roup life insurance upon the life of Thomas Davis, the husband of appellant, to appellee Mattie Davis, his sister. On June 19, 1934, the plaintiff, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, issued its group insurance policy to Thomas Davis, who was then an employee of the International Shoe Company, and agreed to pay to the beneficiary designated in the said policy, upon the death of the said Thomas Davis, the sum of $1,000.…
