OPINION

PHILLIPS, Circuit Judge:

This appeal presents the question whether a dispute over the duration of a written option agreement having a broad arbitration clause and a facially unambiguous termination date is for the court or the arbitrator. When the party seeking to exercise the option sought a preliminary injunction to compel arbitration of the dispute and for interim relief pending resolution of the dispute, the district court denied the motion and instead granted the opposing party’s motion to enjoin arbitration pending judicial resolution of the dispute.
