Plaintiff Willco Kuwait (Trading) S.A.K. (“Willco”), a Kuwaiti corporation engaged in the business of trading petroleum throughout the world, brought this action in district court against defendant Peter deSavary, an international financier and entrepreneur, based primarily upon the anti-fraud provisions of the federal securities laws and principles of common law fraud.
