DECISION AND ORDER

ADELMAN, District Judge.

Plaintiff Clay E. Russell brings this pro se action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging that defendants William L. Lazar and Jim R. Plaint, Wisconsin correctional officials, violated his rights under the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments by miscalculating his prison sentence and thereby causing him to be confined for sixty-five days beyond his mandatory release (“MR”) date. Although the complaint is somewhat unclear, plaintiff appears to allege that from June 4 to August 9, 2000 he was unlawfully imprisoned because defendants miscalculated his MR date. He…
