This is an action brought by defendant in error, Carrie M. Bowers, administratrix of her husband, Sandy Bowers, deceased (hereinafter sometimes referred to as plaintiff) against the Pacific Fire Insurance Company to recover on a fire insurance policy for $2,500 issued by said insurance company on a dwelling and contents owned by the deceased, Sandy Bowers, destroyed by fire on the 20th day of November, 1928. At the time the policy was written the property was partly covered by a policy issued by the Hartford Fire Insurance Company for $8,000 on the dwelling and $2,000 on the contents thereof,…
