On October 9, 2011, Plaintiffs filed a complaint against the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (“PREPA”) and its executives and governing board members (collectively, “Defendants”) alleging violations under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961-62(d), and for mail and wire fraud, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341 and 1343.
