DECISION

EARLY, Senior Judge:

Tried by general court-martial, the accused was convicted, despite his pleas, of assault with intent to commit voluntary manslaughter, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934. He was sentenced to be confined at hard labor for 12 months, to forfeit $200.00 per month for six months, and to be reduced to the grade of E-2. The convening authority approved only a finding of guilty of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm in violation of Article 128, and reduced the sentence to confinement at hard labor for ten months,…
