John I. Blair died December 22d, 1899. ITe left a will which bears date March 5th, 1878, and was probated December 28th, 1899. He left surviving him one son, DeWitt Clinton Blair, the respondent, and five grandchildren, Charles Scribner, Arthur IT. Scribner, Emma Scribner Darned, Isabel Scribner Fitzhugh and Clara Blair Mitchell, descendants of his two deceased daughters, Emma Elizabeth Scribner and Amelia A. Mitchell.
