David Lee Jones appeals his conviction for possession of cocaine. A detailed statement of the facts is necessary in order to evaluate issues he raises on appeal.

On March 25, 1995, shortly after noon, Officer Doug Orbin of the Shawnee police department was dispatched to an apartment complex on a “check the welfare of a subject” call. There he met with Anthony and Donna Flamez, who were concerned about their son Tony.
