In this case we consider whether the evidence supporting a court order requiring a mentally ill person to undergo mental health services is legally sufficient. The trial court found that K.E.W. was mentally ill and as a result of that mental illness was likely to cause serious harm to others, and the court ordered him to submit to temporary inpatient mental health services. The court of appeals reversed. It held there was no evidence of a recent overt act tending to confirm that K.E.W. was likely to cause serious harm to others.
