The defendant, Patrick Smith, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (3), kidnapping in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-92 (a) (2) (B), and sexual assault in the third degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-72a (a) (1).
