Davis v. Ballard

On the 23d of November, 1818, Davis and Ballard entered into a written contract, by which Davis agreed to convey certain lands to Ballard, who stipulated to pay $35 per acre therefor, as far as 200 acres, but all over that quantity, Ballard was to have without paying any more.
