EVERETT, Chief Judge:

Notwithstanding his pleas of not guilty, a general court-martial sitting at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona, convicted appellant of having transferred lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and of having transferred a habit-forming narcotic drug, to wit, cocaine, in violation of Articles 92 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 892 and 934, respectively. Appellant was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for 4 years, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade. However, the convening authority disapproved the LSD…
