YOHN, District Judge.

Plaintiff John Koltonuk, a former police officer of the Borough of Laureldale (the “Borough”), has brought a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 action charging the Borough with: 1) violating his Fourteenth Amendment right to due process by terminating his employment without providing him adequate pretermination and posttermination hearings; and 2) violating his First Amendment right to petition for a redress of grievances by filing criminal charges against him in retaliation for his pursuing posttermination remedies to challenge his discharge.
