This is an appeal of a default judgment divorce case. The defendant husband answered, but neither he nor his attorney appeared at trial.

On February 22, 1978, Ellen Hammonds Brown sued Clifford Brown for divorce and sought a division of the property. Defendant’s original attorney was notified in writing on April 20 that the case was set for trial on the nonjury docket for August 28.
