Bobby N. Floyd is president of Diversified, Inc. Floyd and Diversified sued Kristie Wilson and Universal Surety of America ("Universal"), alleging negligence. The trial court dismissed the complaint, holding that the plaintiffs' negligence claim was barred by the statute of limitations. The Court of Civil Appeals, on December 17, 1999, affirmed, without an opinion. Floyd v. Wilson (No. 2981342), 789 So.2d 257 (Ala.Civ.App. 1999) (table). We granted the plaintiffs' petition for certiorari review. We affirm the judgment of the Court of Civil Appeals insofar as it relates to Floyd's claim, but…
