Vance Fleming and his wife brought two separate actions against defendants. Complaints and answers were filed in both cases.

Plaintiff, Vance Fleming, contends: That on 19 February, 1924, W. L. Holleman was the local manager, agent and employee of Armour Company, a corporation doing business in Raleigh, N.C. and on that date, about 6:30 o'clock p. m., was engaged in the operation of a Ford coupe for and in behalf of Armour Company, and with its knowledge, consent and approval.
