SERNA, Chief Justice.

{1} Defendant Mario Perez Barrera appeals his convictions for first degree murder, armed robbery, shooting at an occupied vehicle, and felon in possession of a firearm. See Rule 12-102(A)(1) NMRA 2001 (appeals from sentence of life imprisonment taken to the Supreme Court).
