I. Introduction

On November 13, 1998, Debra J. Hight (Hight) executed a fixed rate note (the Fixed Rate Note) and a deed of trust (the Deed of Trust) with Norwest Mortgage, Inc. (Norwest). As the result of a name change and a merger, Norwest became part of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (Wells Fargo). As such, Wells Fargo became the owner and holder of the Fixed Rate Note and the Deed…
