This was an action on a promissory note, and the defense was a plea of the statute of limitations. At the close of the case the Court directed the jury to find a verdict for the plaintiff, and from the judgment entered for the amount of the verdict, the defendant appeals. Other facts will be stated in the discussion of the points raised for our ruling, and the nature of the exceptions which we deem proper to be considered will sufficiently appear from our rulings thereon.,1 1.
