This is an action brought by plaintiffs on a promissory note alleged to have been executed and delivered to them by A. D. Hadley and Elizabeth Hadley bearing date December 12,1923, and payable two years after date. In the complaint it is alleged that the note was lost and could not be produced. It is further alleged that a payment of $216 was made October 22, 1927, and $63.50 on February 27, 1928, and that the interest was paid up to January 12, 1926, the last payment of interest being made January 15, 1927.
